The head of Kelvin Chia Yangon Ltd. is Ms Cheah Swee Gim who is also the head of the Corporate and Commercial Department of Kelvin Chia Partnership. Ms Cheah has acquired in 17 years of practice, a sound and extensive knowledge of the commercial and business laws and environment of Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, the Philippines and other Southeast Asia countries. She has spearheaded numerous investment and commercial projects in these countries. Multinationals and public-listed companies have sought her legal advice in establishing joint ventures transactions and cross-border business investments. Many of these commercial projects are characterised by legal and business complexities requiring strong advisory, drafting and negotiations skills and an in-depth understanding of the clients' business needs and requirements.

In banking and finance related matters, she has considerable experience in the preparation and drafting of lending as well as securitization agreements. She has acted for borrowers as well as lenders in syndicated loans and has advised multinationals on financing and securitization issues. She is further familiar with both debit as well as equity financing and has been extensively involved in project financing and restructuring exercises.
Ms Cheah has a masters degree in intellectual property studies and is well-versed in commercial transactions where the licensing or exploitation of information technology plays a fundamental role. She also has experience in advising on telecommunications and media law issues and preparing and reviewing contracts for clients involved in the telecommunication, media and internet industries.
